Due to all the recent health scares around food many people are starting, and for some going back to, growing their own food, particularly those interested in organic growing, permaculture and biodynamic growing. Those without the space at home need not worry as Sheffield is well blessed with 74 Allotment sites containing over 3000 plots and there is generally a 20% surplus of plots to people.
