Sheffield has a good number of whole-food shops and green grocers, which sell a wide range of; natural, local, organic, and fairly-traded goods as well as a local wholesaler's and a few organic fruit and veg box schemes, delivered city-wide.
The city has a farmers market that happens every fourth sunday of the month on The Moor in Sheffield City Centre, for more information phone 0114 275 8788. It also has central markets and a number of farm shops, as well as farms around the edges of the city that sell direct to the public, a number of these also have dairies and will deliver to your door.
Most of the supermarkets also sell some organic produce and fairly-traded goods. There are a number of butchers specialising in local meat from well cared for animals, a specialist cheese shop and a number of bakers selling organic breads.
